China – Revised CCC Rules for Household Appliances

Created on:2026-06-17 13:14

In accordance with CNCA Announcement No.29/2024, China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has comprehensively revised the CCC certification implementation rules for household electrical appliances, officially launching the mandatory replacement of core standards. The new national safety standard GB/T 4706.1-2024 and EMC electromagnetic compatibility standard GB 4343.1-2024 have completely replaced the old versions, covering almost all household electrical and intelligent home appliances within the CCC certification scope. A transitional period is reserved for policy implementation, during which applicants can independently choose new or old standards for certification application. According to the official time node arrangement, all new CCC certification applications must adopt the new GB 4343.1-2024 EMC standard from June 1, 2026, and fully implement the new GB/T 4706.1-2024 safety standard for new applications starting August 1, 2026. For stock certificates issued under old standards, enterprises must complete standard conversion and file upgrade before May 31 and July 31, 2027 respectively. Any certificates that fail to complete conversion within the time limit will be suspended first and finally revoked by the regulatory authority. In addition, targeted differentiated management mechanisms are adopted for special products: evaporative air coolers and portable induction cooktops implement exclusive product-specific testing standards, while motor compressor products apply the simplified self-declaration conformity scheme, exempting them from traditional full-type testing procedures.
