Bolivia – Expanded Mandatory Homologation Catalogue
Based on the official regulatory Resolution ATT-DJ-RAR-TL LP 539/2024 issued in November 2024, the Bolivarian Authority of Telecommunications and Informatics (ATT) officially released the updated catalogue of mandatory homologation telecom equipment on February 25, 2026, expanding the scope of compulsory certification for wireless IoT devices. On the basis of the original regulated product list, the new catalogue officially adds LoRaWAN long-distance IoT terminal equipment, RFID radio frequency identification devices, 13.56MHz dedicated RF modules and other low-power short-range wireless communication products to the mandatory homologation management scope. In strict accordance with national telecom compliance management guidelines, Bolivian customs and market law enforcement departments launched full-scale special compliance inspection and rectification work for newly added product categories in March 2026. All wireless and telecom equipment included in the updated catalogue must obtain official ATT homologation certification and pass technical conformity testing before customs clearance and market sales. Products without valid certification are prohibited from importing, circulating and selling in the Bolivian local market.
