Taiwan: BSMI updates Instruction Guidelines for the Type Approval of Electrical and Electronic Products

The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) updated the official Instruction Guidelines for the Type Approval of Electrical and Electronic Products, with revisions taking effect immediately. The update optimizes formatting requirements for certification technical documents. Meanwhile, stricter rules are added for hardware changes. Any modification affecting safety, insulation or EMC performance needs notification to BSMI, which may require supplementary testing or re-registration.
