Canada: ISED Introduces ETSI EN 301 893 V2.2.1 for DFS Requirements to all new application

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) implements new requirements for 5GHz Wi-Fi devices regulated under RSS-247. Starting July 20, 2026, all new certification applications must conduct DFS testing based on ETSI EN 301 893 V2.2.1. The previous version ETSI EN 301 893 V1.8.1 will not be accepted for new filings. The updated standard optimizes client-side radar detection test rules. Existing valid certificates remain unaffected.
