Mexico: Key Import Exemptions for Mobile and Wireless devices was closed

Mexico Ministry of Economy published an official agreement to remove import compliance exemptions for mobile terminals and wireless communication equipment. The previous value-based simplified clearance policy for courier shipments no longer applies to smartphones, cellular terminals and wireless devices. All wireless equipment shipments must provide complete NOM conformity documents at customs, no matter the shipment value. Sample deliveries and small batch exports are directly affected. Exporters shall complete NOM certification in advance.
