Created on:2026-09-02 10:47

On July 21, 2026, South Korea's National Radio Research Agency (RRA) issued a priority notice on amended conducted test methods for 5G NR communication equipment subject to KS X3270. The update expands 5G NR frequency support from two bands to six, adding n1, n3, n5 and n7, with the revised requirements taking effect from July 24, 2026. Correspondingly, 5G NR now supports both Time Division Duplex (TDD) and Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) communication methods, whereas previously only TDD was permitted. Existing LTE band configurations are unchanged by this amendment. The revision is confined to the 5G NR conducted test methods and does not alter the radiated test standard (KS X3271) or LTE characteristic testing (KS X3142).
