Philippines｜NTC Issues MC No.004-06-2026 Opening the 77–81GHz Band

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) of the Philippines officially issued Memorandum Circular No.004-06-2026 on June 29, 2026 to open the 77–81GHz frequency band for Equipment for Detecting Movement and Alert. This circular amends Section 2 of Memorandum Circular No.03-05-2007, allocating the 77–81GHz band with a maximum power of 50mW EIRP for Detecting Movement and Alert equipment. This allocation supports the deployment of advanced radar and sensing systems for automotive and industrial applications. The circular takes effect fifteen days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and its filing with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR) of the University of the Philippines Law Center.
